CAFTAN - TRIBAL

My abuelita Mary was a very stylish lady and always looked fabulous even when she wore her "Batas" (house dresses). Her closet is still full of them in all colors and prints. Cotton house dresses are a common garment amongst womyn in the islands. They are light weight, covering and have a relaxed dressy feel.
The Caftan is a classic shape and my abuelita Mary's favorite. This simple rectangular shadped dress has a draw string belt that cinches on the high waist line. It is very comfortable and flattering for all body types. I wear my batas all Summer at home, to the beach, to the temazcal and anywhere.
